Exchange student returns from Germany

Steven Edward and President Chris Debicki.

Steven Edwards who spent an exchange year in Germany last year shared his experiences with the club on January 25th.

" A Year of Change"  meant to Steven a physical growth of many inches as well as a maturity growth. His host families lived in a small town not far from Berlin. He joined the school choir and played on the hockey team( more like our floor hockey). With the families he travelled to Potsdam, Brandenburg, Magdeburg. Blankenburg Forest, Dresden, and Berlin. (The highlight of his trip)  He presented a Rotary banner to the mayor of Dresden. A school trip took him to England. Smugglers Cave was an interesting stop on that tour. Steven was fortunate to have been welcomed by three very accommodating host families. His last family lived on a farm so he experienced many things new for him.  A European Tour of 23 days completed his exchange year. Brussels, Budapest, Florence, Monaco, Munich, Nice, Paris, Pisa, Prague, Rome, Venice, Vienna, Antwerpen, and Avignon were places he visited. Steven made so many friends and experienced.
