Jocotepec Project Motors Ahead

Plans to purchase 2 busses, loaded with medical and educational supplies (Water Management) and drive them to Mexico next March was supported unanimously at the July club assembly. The up to $12,000 project still requires more analysis, structuring,  funding and implementation. Much of the medical equipment has already been acquired thanks to the recent hospital amalgamation.

Members: Let Ewan know which of which committee you would like to participate.

RI Chicago Centennial Convention

Chicago, Illinois, USA, 18-22 June 2005

Continuing the celebration that began in Osaka the largest convention attendance ever in Rotary history, are the next exciting dates on the centennial calendar - the Founders Day Events  celebrations of Rotary’s founders that will take place during the month of July. The first event, honoring Paul Harris and Silvester Schiele, is slated to take place on 19 July 2004 in Crestwood, Illinois, USA.

Seven one-day Presidential Celebrations will take place across the globe during the 2004-05 centennial year, highlighting President Estess’ emphases for this Rotary year: the Family of Rotary, health concerns, literacy, and water management. As with the Founder’s Day Events, these events are locally produced, so to find out further details, you will need to contact the local organizers.
