The Dresden Rotary Club News

This will be the last year for the Playhouse ticket sales since it's conception in 1987. Slumping sales due to competition, lack of interest by the community and high overhead costs (entry fees, travel, etc. ) have forced Dresden Rotary to discontinue the project. The sharpest decline in sales noted after the Paincourt school began building and marketing their playhouse.
The club decided efforts would be better spent on other projects. The man hours spent with the playhouse and other overhead costs no longer merits the revenues generated.
New replace project investigations are underway.

Allocations for June:
    $75 - Donation to Michaela Griggs
    $250 - Donation to Lambton Kent Composite School Photo Exhibition
    $150 - Donation to Dresden Area Central School awards night.
    $75 - Donation to St. Mike's School award night.

Trillium Application for Uncle Tom's Cabin. Interview booked.

HRDC JCP. Job position approved with interviews underway.

Rotary Summer Concert Series:
First event is July 1 in Rotary Memorial Park, Dresden.
